I’m Niamh — the artist behind Empowered Ink — and my work is about far more than ink on skin.
It’s about dignity, confidence, closure, and feeling at home in your body again.
My journey began in permanent makeup. Learning eyebrows, eyeliner, and lip tattooing gave me years of experience working with skin, color theory, and healing patterns. Over time, my focus evolved into paramedical tattooing — restoring what life, surgery, or trauma changed. Today, I offer both, but my deepest passion lies in restorative, trauma-informed tattooing.

My Background: A Life Rooted in Resilience and Care
I immigrated to the United States at age nine and eventually made Arizona home with my son. Outside the studio, you’ll usually find me paddleboarding, camping, crafting, or stargazing — hands-on and heart-centered, just like my work.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree, and I’m certified as a CNA, lab technician, and phlebotomist. My medical externship at Mayo Clinic helped shape my understanding of patient care, skin healing, and safety — knowledge I carry into every appointment.
This blend of medical awareness and artistry is the foundation of Empowered Ink.
